- Get a white foam board and use the whole board or cut it in half. Plywood is also an option but is of course heavier and more solid. If you decide on wood I suggest you paint it in a light color in order to create the shiplap design.
- With a black pencil make lines about 3 inches apart to get the shiplap impression.

3. Then wrap the rope around the board. I wrapped the rope 7 times around the board, about the same as I made shiplap lines. Make a knot on the backside of the board.

4. Add stickers (if you want to use it for Christmas Cards it is nice to add Christmas stickers) to decorate the front of the board. If you have a pretty handwriting be creative and write a Christmas message on the board.
5. With clips or pins attach your Christmas cards, notes, photographs, poems or whatever you feel like.

This memory board is a great place to attach all of the Christmas cards you are getting over the next months. It is such a pretty way to collect and showcase all of the Season greetings and pictures arriving in the next weeks.

- I cut my foam board in half and covered it with Christmas batting. The batting should be about 2 inches bigger than the board on all 4 sides.
- Wrap the board like a present:

I used tape first and then a staple gun to staple the batting tightly around the board.
3. You can additionally use a pretty fabric to cover the batting. Use the same ‘present wrapping technique’ when adding an additional fabric.
4. Now use the ribbon and start adding it diagonally making an X. Tape it on the back of the board.

5. Add the rest of the ribbon diagonally. I attached the four smaller pieces of ribbon, making a center diamond shape. I measured the center spot on each of the sides to have it somehow even.

6. After all of the ribbon is taped on the board, I stapled it tightly onto the back of the foam board and also into the batting.

7. Turn the board around and add decorative pins to finish it up.

8. You can cover the back side of the memory board with a pretty paper or poster if you want to lean it on the wall. It is not necessary, it just looks nicer.
