How to decorate with the color pink
I used to be scared adding a bold color to a room. I thought the best way of decorating is when you stay within one color, mainly white, maybe adding a little beige or brown here and there.
Everybody I knew decorated their houses with the same colors and it felt pretty safe. Nothing could go wrong.
Until I changed my job and all of a sudden I had a lot to do with colors and patterns, boho style and modern interior. And my taste for colors and decorating with color completely changed.
My first attempt to incorporate a color to my apartment was a teal colored wall to wall carpet. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, until I saw it. I absolutely loved it. It looked stunning.
My furniture was mainly white and it looked stunning, so fresh and clean.
I started adding yellow and blue little by little and the whole atmosphere of the room changed.
What I am trying to say is, start experimenting. Start with a colorful rug, or a couple of colorful pillows, a colorful artwork, a bouquet of flowers.
There are so many ways to start small and slowly getting the feeling to add more color to a room.
Pink can be a little tricky, but with a little direction, pink decor can turn out chic instead of tacky and girly.
Here are some easy steps how to decorate with the color pink:
How do you like a pink couch?
Go and get a pink statement couch if the rest of your furniture is neutral! I had mine for over 10 years now and I am still in love with it.
Add different pink pillows on your gray couch
If you aren’t ready for a big pink centerpiece, use pink accent pillows. Pink pillows add a fresh feel to a gray sofa – instantly.
Cool Pink Art Work

If the rest of your furniture and wall color is neutral, this one piece can really make an impact and draw the attention to it.
Pink Flower Bouquets
Flower bouquets always look amazing in a neutral room.
Flowers create an instant happy feeling, especially if you chose a colorful bouquet in a pretty vase.
Different Pink Accessories
There are so many funky and cool objects you can decorate with – use them on your coffee table, a shelf or on your mantel to create happy vibes in your room.
Pink throws or curtains
If the room is very neutral and you want to add some color this is an easy update. Pink curtains or a pink throw will make this room happy.
A Pink Rug
A rug can change everything in your room. It can make it funky, add warmth to it or makes it colorful.
Get a solid colored rug or a pretty pattern, whatever fits better to the rest of your furniture.
A pink accent wall
Use the right shade of pink and this focal point looks stunning.
Add a deeper hue for a dining room, a very pale pink for a bathroom or bedroom. Or use Wallpaper or Wall Art and create an accent wall like this one.
Adding wallpaper is easier if you are not sure which is the right hue for your room.
