2.Sun Sails over Tubs
A sun sail is a better choice than an umbrella if you live in a windy area.
Normally you have three hooks to mount the sun sail on trees or posts in order to hang it tight at the right spot.

This sun sail is used to cover the Hot Tub in which we jump in during summer as a ‘Cool off Tub’. And I like it because it comes in different colors.

3.Gazebos
Gazebos are awesome when it is really hot and you want to enjoy reading a book outside.

A gazebo is also a good idea when you have little kids who want to play outside. They can play all kinds of stuff in this ‘house’ and stay sun and bug protected.

4.Shade with Curtains
If you want to close up your deck a little bit, just install some stainless steel cables and hang a curtain with sun protection on it.
You can close up a deck almost completely if you mount curtains all-around your deck.
I hung up mosquito nets and sheer curtains, as I like the light and air to come through. But my deck is also pretty protected and only gets sun in the late afternoon.
