We bought a small Travel Trailer a couple of years ago and are just loving to go on camping adventures with it. We have our own bathroom, a comfy bed, sofa and kitchen – it is just perfect.
The only thing I don’t love about it is cooking inside the camper, because everything smells like food. Also cleaning grease is no fun at all if the water is not really hot and the sink is just too small for lots of dishes.
Therefore we started accumulating accessories to make our lifes easier while cooking. The first thing we bought was a Blackstone griddle. And now, years later, we are still so happy with that griddle, we are thinking of upgrading it to a bigger one.
We added more things to be more comfortable outside and if you are interested to know about the Best Outdoor Kitchen – 7 awesome accessories to have for grilling, here is the list:

1. A griddle is an absolute must-have.
We cook everyting on it, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We are normally two to four people camping, and the 17″ griddle is big enough for us. But what we miss is a hood on the griddle and we are thinking of getting one to be able to close the griddle. But we might just end up buying the bigger one with a hood and keep the small one at the house.
Looking for some cool recipes to make on the griddle?
If you don’t know what to cook and are sick and tired of burges and brats, here are some tips that go fast and easy on the griddle:
2. A camping table
So if you decide to get the 17″ Blackstone griddle, you will need a table to put it on. If you don’t already have a sturdy table and don’t want to use the bench for putting it on, then this one is a good buy. Very sturdy and you have space for everything you need while cooking:
We started buying cheap 10 $ chairs in the beginning but ended up upgrading them because they were so uncomfortable. And every couple of weeks they broke down and we had to get new ones until we decided that is not worth the effort anymore.
Therefore invest a couple of more dollars to be comfortable while sitting outside reading a book.
4. A cooler is a must-have – Best Outdoor Kitchen – 8 awesome accessories to have for grilling
We always bring a cooler when we go on trips because we don’t let our refrigerator run while driving. Therefore all the food that needs to be refrigerated goes into the cooler while we are on the road. And of course there is also space for some drinks.
We actually have a couple of coolers, bigger and smaller ones, cheap ones and more expensive ones. In our experience the YETI is the best one if you need your content stay cold for days.
If you are looking to use the cooler only for a day or two, then the IGLOO is totally worth it.

So of course this is a gadget you need or don’t need. If you like to drink ice cold drinks, then you need it. If you are a family and you use a lot of ice, then you need it. If a bag of ice last you a week, then you will probably not need an ice-maker. So just decide for yourself how much money you spend on ice and if this investment is worth it for you.
6. A Fire Pit – if you are not allowed to make a campfire and you don’t enjoy inhaling smoke
Unfortunately I don’t like smokey campfires, because they give me a headache and I don’t love the campfire smell on my clothes and in my hair either. But I love sitting at the campfire.
A good solution for that problem is a propane campfire. This is the one we have:
