How to brighten up the dark interior of an RV? Here are 7 tips on How to brighten up the dark interior of an RV
1. Add Light Fixtures: Install additional light fixtures such as ceiling lights, recessed lighting, wall sconces, and even lamps to brighten up dark areas. If you have enough lights in your RV, exchange the light bulbs. By using LED lights you save on energy. Furthermore, LED lights don’t heat up the inside of your camper in summer.
2. Use Mirrors: the same strategy that you use in your house to brighten up dark rooms, you can also use it inside your RV. If you place mirrors strategically around your RV to reflect the light you create the illusion of a larger, brighter space. I would not hang heavy mirrors, but peel-and-stick mirror tiles do a great job in an RV. I use them on my bathroom door and it really works well.
3. Paint the Walls: Paint the walls with a light color to make a dark RV appear brighter. Bright walls make actually the biggest impact if you want to change the look of your Camper.

Start with removing the wallpaper border, then clean the walls, and use a medium size foam roller to apply the paint on smaller walls. Choose a pretty light hue, like an off-white, a very light green, or blue that fits your darker colors.
4. Use Natural Light: If possible, open up windows and curtains to let in natural light. One of the first things I did in my Camper was to get rid of the window valances. I added curtains rods and hung white curtains, but left the blinds for privacy.
It really made a huge difference to the look of my Camper. Here are all the tips you can use if you want to update the valances.
Opt for lighter window treatments such as curtains, shades, or blinds in light colors to let in more light.
