RV Kitchen Storage Ideas
RV Kitchen Storage Ideas
Trash Can
You don’t want to fall over your trash can all the time because it is standing in the way. So this is the best there is to have in a Camper, a hanging trash can.
Paper Towel Holder
Under kitchen cabinet paper towel holder or this is a magnetic one
Storage Bins
For cereal, rice, nuts, or any dry foods which use a lot of storage space in their original packaging. Therefore get storage bins that fit exactly into a cabinet.
.
Stackable unbreakable dishes
Of course, everything you need to bring on dishes has to be stackable. This is the only way to save a lot of space. And do bring plastic or melamine dishes so they don’t break. I also put liners in my dish cabinets, for safety while we are driving.
.
Stackable pots and pans
The same concept here, buy stackable pots and pans, bowls, glasses made out of acrylic or lightweight teflon.
And these come with removable handles
Don’t forget to check out all the must-haves and nice-to-haves before you go on a trip. This list is very helpful!
Magnetic Hooks
If you want to dry your towel and don’t know where to hang it, this might be a great option. Magnetic hooks. I am sure you find a metal on your rig outside, where you can hang your wet towel or bathing suit. It holds up to 80 lbs.
Additional drawer
This is so cool, I just explored this additional drawer you can add underneath your dinette table and store cutlery or have the kids use it for their pens and pencils.
If you have crafty children or you like to store paper or magazines, here is another good idea for storing things underneath the table.
Hanging Basket
This hanging basket is so cool for storing fruits and vegetables in your kitchen or using it in the bathroom for towels or shampoo, and soap. Just hang it on the curtain rod and you have everything accessible.
Cutting Board
Get yourself a cutting board (or make it yourself) and put it on top of your stove for additional counter space while preparing a meal. I have almost no counter space and this really helps.
.
This is a great idea to extend counterspace. Screw these collapsible holders on the end of your cabinets and put a large cutting board on top when you cook. This adds so much more space, especially if your kitchen is as small as mine. If you don’t need it anymore, just fold it down.
Suction Cup Hooks
I have hooks everywhere. You can use them for hanging up towels or kitchen accessories you can’t fit into a drawer. I put hooks everywhere in my camper for hanging caps, backpacks, purses, jackets…
.
Spice Rack
This spice rack doesn’t use a lot of space and you can close it up and store it away if you don’t need it anymore.
Or you make your own spice rack. Buy a metal sheet, add a frame and use liquid nails to hang it on the wall. Put your spices in small metal containers and they will stick on the magnetic sheet. This looks so tidy and clean.
And a slide-out spice rack fits perfectly in your RV for little cabinet space.
Under Shelf baskets
These under-shelf baskets are just great if you need additional space inside your cabinets.
.
Over the sink rack
This rack also gives you additional space in your kitchen sink area. And for the ones with really small campers it can be a lifesaver.
.
Dish Drying Rack
This is so helpful if you don’t have a dishwasher (guess most of us don’t).

Toothbrush Holder wall mounted
The countertop is normally very limited, this is why hanging holders on the wall is pretty helpful.
Pop up mesh laundry hamper
Laundry is always there so you might as well bring a hamper. But a hamper uses a lot of space therefore get a foldable hamper or a pop-up hamper. When you are done with laundry, store it away.
Yes, this is a wine rack but a genius idea to store towels too. You just need to mount this onto the wall and you have storage for all your towels.

I use this storage idea everywhere I can. Right now one is hanging at my front door and we store keys, sunglasses, flashlights, coins, bandaids, poop bags for the dog… Everything you need to have fast access goes in there.

Where do you put your shoes? While we are traveling we mainly wear crocs or flip flops and take them off before we enter the camper. The sandals get put away in a basket with a lid and stay under the camper.
My broom is always in the way but we found out, that we could hang the broom on the ceiling of the outside storage. Just use these clips:
Or put some on the outside of the camper. These can be hung up with adhesives.

Summary of the best RV storage ideas
It is so important to have a space for everything inside of your Camper. Otherwise, it can get crowded and so stressful if there is no space to sit because things are piling up on the sofa and bed.
I hope these Camper storage and organization tips will help you to stay organized and to enjoy your travels. Just always consider bringing less, because in the end, you won’t need all the clothes you packed, all the shoes you thought you would wear and all the nick-nacks you thought you would try out.
I started to learn how to macrame in my Travel Trailer, the only thing I need is a string and some sticks to try the different knots. The material doesn’t need lots of space, but it is so peaceful to make something pretty for the interior of the Camper.

I am cracking up. You and I have EXACTLY the same camper!
Hi Laurie, do you love your FunFinder? What did you update? Did you paint anything? Let me know.
I crocheted one of a kind baskets and use them on shelves to store clothes, napkins, catch alls. They are colorful, textural, sturdy, washable and very useable at grocery store, laundromat, and as overnight bags while visiting family and friends. I sell them in boutiques and at art flea matkets.
Karen, wow this is a great idea. Would love to see these baskets.
