Fall Decoration Ideas – Simple and beautiful
Summer is disappearing step by step and the air is getting fresher and cooler, more rain is falling in our area and the sun sets earlier.
Time to get ready for fall. Not only the wardrobe is changing, but it is also time to change the home decoration.
If you need some inspiration for your home, I have collected some Fall Decoration Ideas – simple and beautiful DIY.
How to decorate your home for fall:

Start with your Front Door and Porch
Make your front door inviting. Add a simple wreath, a pretty fall sign, or some fall flowers. Even if you don’t have a big porch, adding a pretty sign on your front door makes such a difference.
You can make a wreath yourself or you buy a basic wreath and add some fall decor, like leaves, small pumpkins, or small berry branches and you can just update this branch for every season.

How about some fall artwork?

Exchange your doormat
Shop this look here: How about a “Hey Pumpkin” Doormat and to make it look even better, add a cotton plaid underneath to make your front door look extraordinary.
Add baskets with flowers or pumpkin decor if you have a bigger porch. There are so many ideas and color schemes, to make your porch look pretty.
I especially love this decoration from ‘our vintage home love’.

Add fall decor on your dining table
Exchange your table setting. Make the decoration yourself with these simple tips.
Go outside and collect leaves, branches, chestnuts, pumpkins, and all kinds of flowers or berry branches and arrange them in a basket full of fall decor or arrange the branches in a vase. Doesn’t cost you anything and brings a fall atmosphere into your home.

Decorate your fireplace mantel
Add some pretty decor to your fireplace mantel. Make your own signs easy with stickers or printouts. Also, add ivory and spray paint pumpkins in a color that fits your decor.

Exchange throw pillows and blankets on your couch
If your living room is kept pretty neutral, it is easy to create a fall atmosphere by adding different colored pillows and throws,

Add a rug for coziness
I also love to exchange my summer rug with a warmer and darker colored rug to add more warmth. And it is actually proven that adding curtains and rugs to a room makes it feel at least 2 to 3 degrees warmer than it actually is. The best side effect is that you are safe on heating costs and who doesn’t love to save money?
Decorate your porch
Go for a walk into nature and while you are enjoying fresh air collect branches and leaves. Get a haystack and arrange it on your porch with fall flowers and decor. Make a big welcome sign and add some lights or candles to create a welcome atmosphere on your porch.

Add new decor in your entrance
Do you love to open the front door to a house and think, “oh wow, this looks great’? Do you want to create the same feeling in your own house?
Then add a pretty rug to your entrance, add a bench where you can put your bags and shoes, and arrange some fall decor or signs above it.

I really like your idea to make your own wreath by buying a basic one from the store, then customizing it. My spouse and I are thinking about getting a few new decorations for our home this fall. We want to try getting items that really fit well with the fall and winter theme.
